First of all, hello! This is my introductory session on the thread. I have a question about VFP5.0. When I try to update the base table with an updatable view that contains appended records I get the error message "cannot insert an empty row from a view into its base table" error #1547. This happens if I table buffer the base and use tableupdate(), or even if I don't buffer the base table, and just close the view cursor with the appended records. How do you use a view to append record(s) to a base table?
