I've had times on Win95 where one application grabbed hold of the processor and I couldn't even task switch to another app. I'm not saying this won't happen in NT, but it is much less likely.

I think the contest is a little closer when comparing 98 and NT. I would tend to go with 98 for typical home use (some development, some web use), as its web configuration capabilities are stronger, but NT in a network environment. Also, multi-tasking is better in 98 than 95, from my experience...
