I want to start develop foxpro programs for www server.
I studied vfpcgi, foxweb, www connection, xworks.
Are there other foxpro-www connection packages available?
Each of them as different standard. Fox example, even calling
procedure specification is different:
vfpcgi shipped with foxpro simply uses do case (embbeded code)
foxweb uses notation foxweb?procname@progname/directory
www connection uses wwc?classname~methodname
xworks uses form_id hidden field to specify procedure to run.
I think there must be a common standard (foundation classes?)
which is reasonable to use to switching between foxpro-www
connectors without changing applications.
Maybe Rick or some other will implement a basic foundation classes
which can be used as base classes for foxpro cgi programs, even
when some other www connection is used.
Each computer as same api, to be it windows or nt.
I think there must me same api for foxpro programs called
by www connectors. De facto standard must be set.
