I've heard that one of the reasons 98 is more stable than 95 is that any drivers that caused instabliity were removed! I know a lot of 'older hardware' will no longer work with 98 (for example, anything on vesa local bus). BTW 'older hardware' is defined as any thing that predates the 98 release by
6 months.
