Thanks for the tip, but that did not solve my problem.

For now I am temporarily using the when method to check wether
users can change the values, but I am still curious why this
is happening.

Can you try (if you have time) putting a standard checkbox on
a gray (128,128,128) background and disabling it?

It might just be me having this problem...
