Can I use the DE methods to check to see if a table is available? Let me take a step back... I have a multi-user system where a table is used by two different forms. In one form (Form1) the table is required to have an exclusive lock. In the other form (Form2), I do not need to open the table exclusive. User1 runs the system and opens form1 (Exclusive). User2 tries to run Form2, but an error message is displayed Error Loading file, Parent, Record number 21, File Access is denied. I am using Private datasessions and the DE with AutoTableOpen=.T.. Any clues are more than appreciated!
My first thought was that I could trap the exclusive use in the BeforeOpentables event of the DE. I have not been able to figure it out.... tia Steve
