Thanks for getting back to me Dan. What I really need, though, is a way of sytematically checking whether or not any records in a dbf have got corrupted, As this is what's happening occasionally - A few records go a bit squiffy, but the rest of the dbf is fine. What I need to do is put in place a program which runs daily and checks each record to see whether it has got corrupted, and then flag a warning to the operator. Do you know how to do such a check? I would be much obliged for any information
