I set up a seperate biz object and placed it on the form as the primary and then deleted it and made the biz obj that held the grid the primary and got the error in both cases. Bill,

Do you have the zorder correct? If the bizobj is being used on both pages of the pageframe, make sure it is loaded before the pageframe. There is a section in the developer's guide that fully explains the importance of zorder.
