Pascal,
Visit www.fastwrite.com and check focus.vcx. At least one of the functions deal with bitmap dimensions and there are numerous nice functions (focus.vcx is a wrapper to winapi calls). Also you might need a twips conversion (one twip is 1/1440 of an inch and device independent). I can help you in conversion if you take to that point and if you need it.
