I've got an Excel 97 template with a pie chart. The pie chart's colors are linked to the data rows colors. That is each piece of pie matches the color of its data row. I have a VFP program which populates the template, and saves it to a different file name. About 100 Excel files are generated by the VFP program.

The problem is the pie chart inconsistently displays the wrong color, but the correct label/data. I can't see a reason why this is happening. Maybe half the spreadsheets the VFP program generates have the correct corresponding color.

Any suggestions on what to look for??
