Hi Barry ---

I suspect that the error relates to "virtual memory" or diskspace not RAM. I know tmpfiles is defined as c:\temp but I believe that some stuf goes to the Windows temp directory. So, could be that you don't have write/create access to the directory VFP wants to write to, or there's not enough space there. This is my WAG.



>In either VFP 5 or 6, I get the error "Not Enough Memory for File Map" when processing a large table with "Begin Transaction". I have the TmpFiles pointing to c:\temp. The machine is a Pentium 450MHz with 128M RAM with Windows 95 or 98. The network O.S. is Novell 4.2.
