I have tried to set the table exclusive, zap it, reset the recordsource from a button on the form. This leaves the columns the size of the field and not the original width (which is wider). If I call a method to reset the widths, I get a column unknown error.

Since the grid is in the form class, the only other thing I can think of is to remove the form then add it again. If the grid weren't part of the form class, you could just remove it then add it again...
