>>One person who I'm surprised hasn't posted any sort of follow-up was John Peterson. Anyone who attended his sessions, I would appreciate an objective critique, just to see if John is as good as he thinks he is.
One of the things that impressed me about John at FoxTeach was that he wasn't afraid to think on his feet and try some unrehearsed examples of ADO with VFP on-the-fly. (they worked) Many of the questions we asked him had to do with, "Wouldn't the performance be better if you...", etc. He always had a good reason for why he had made a given tradeoff, such as modularity vs speed.
Contrast that with a speaker from MS who tried to demonstrate using Visual Interdev with VFP. I'm sure he's a knowledgable person, but probably half of his examples didn't work as expected (or at all) and all he could say was that he knew more about VFP than VI. Perhaps overconfidence (if it exists) is less annoying than unhelpfulness in a teaching context.
