Hi Bill,
I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. FoxTeach was a great show. It has been consistently good and I believe it will remain so in the future. In my opinion small shows like FoxTeach and LAFOX are better than the big shows.

Why ? People actually have more opportunity to hang out with speakers and the shows are much more laid back. Devcon is fun but it is a pretty high intensity show for the speakers and attendees.

As for JVP. I have a biased opinion here but I'll throw it out anyway. JVP is one of the better people I know and work with. Having worked with John over the last couple of years (4 books and 1 in the works) I can say that he is a person I have grown to rely on. When he says it will get done it does. He is out there on the edge exposing members of the VFP community to new technology that they might use to their advantage.

One thing I can say is that John is not afraid to give you his opinion. Thats one characteristic I like. We have enough people that are afraid to give an opinion. John is not that way.

To answer your queston John knows his stuff and did a good Job at foxteach.
