Because it was developed after VFP 6.0 was released. I assume you will agree it's better for the VFP community to be able to download and use this DLL in VFP 5.0 and VFP 6.0 instead of waiting until the next full version of VFP ships, correct? <s> VFPCOM.DLL was conceived and developed internally by the VFP team (same people that design and develop VFP).
