I'm involved in the development of a client/server system and I'm currently faced with an interesting challenge.

The system needs to update the client machines in real-time. That is, amendments being made on one machine need to reflected & displayed on all other client machines. I want to avoid using timers as I believe this will degrade performance. Is there anyway I can get the server to broadcast changes to known clients? I'm using VFP6 & SQL 6.5.
