I also find that when I update a record in the second form, which is a filtered DE Table, The filter seems to be destroyed. My basic problem is that I don't know WHERE to place the code. (click, activate, destroy, initialize , etc) Is there some place that I can be referred to where this is explained?
What you need is your child form as modal, your command being DO FORM
TO . Then in your UNLOAD event of your child form, put your RETURN value. I'm not 100% on the UNLOAD bit but you do need to put the TO condition on the DO FORM.
