Hi All ---

I have a checkbox on a form. The checkbox is from a class where I have defined a value_assign method. There is no controlsource to this checkbox. In Value_Assign, in the control instance on a form, I put code to turn or/off certain buttons depending on the state of the value (T/F). No dice. Doesn't work. No error -- just nothing happens. What *will* work is if I bind the control (controlsource) to a form property and put an _Assign on that form property.

What the heck? Is this expected behavior or am I missing something?
