yeah - I've actually got a pretty neat thing going on with some of my grids - the When and the DynamicBackColor both call a function (passing in the column name for latter). The function looks at a fairly complex set of possibilities and effectively returns whether each "cell" in the grid is available for the current user under the current set of circumstances. The grid actually looks like a checkerboard sometime - but the user knows exactly what they can and can't edit. Its lightening quick too. this is where I first started using the When in the grid like this.
