I am using VFP 6. I want to use a view to extract records from a table, allow the user to edit, then write back to the table. I will sometimes get an "Update conflict" (error 1585) when using the SUM command on the view. I am testing on a single machine, so I am the only user. The table is buffered with pessimistic record locking.

What can I do to prevent the conflict from occuring?
