>Call me arrogant, a jerk, or whatever suits your fancy. Please give me the courtesy of doing it up front and directly so that I know what you are attempting to do. Clearly, you were attempting something here that backfired quite a bit. You have some agenda, I just have'nt figured out what it is. Then again, I don't really care.

John,

I don't know where or how you got it into your head that I have ANY sort of agenda. I have no grudge against you. If you took offense at my admittedly ill-worded request for people's opinion of your conference presentation, then let me state right here, plain as day, where everyone can see it:

I ' M S O R R Y !

If you want it plainly stated, there here it is: I think you're arrogant, egotistical, narcissistic, and one of the best damn developers I've ever heard of. I could care less about the first three personality traits, since it's the last one that really materes here. The point is, I never asked for your opinion of yourself, only the opinion of others. If the dozens of people leaping to your defense and praising your abilities isn't enough for you, then I don't know what is.

If you really don't care what I have to say, or what my opinion of you may or may not be, then quit responding to this particular thread. If you want to comment on what you perceive as a character assassination, then please feel free to e-mail me. In the meantime, let's get back to the point of my message, the Foxteach conference.

You (and nearly everyone else but Ken Levy, I might add) have chosen to focus on one statement, totally missing the rest of the message. Quit worrying about your bruised ego, and just tell me about the conference.

Bill
