Jose,

None of the three users that have reported this problem have mentioned this "Warning..." box only the fact that it freezes their machine. The last user to report the problem has Hebrew Windows 98. It seems that my English VFP 6.0 exe is trying to run a Windows .dll without checking the version and running into problems with the non-english version. The very first form that is opening when the machine freezes is a non-read form. It is just a form with text strings and the machine freezes when only the frame around the form is first drawn and before the text so, in effect, an empty box is showing where the form will eventually be filled out.

The trouble shooting problem, of course, is how would you know what VFP is trying to read at this point. Especially since it freezes without any error boxes.

>>I have a VFP 6.0 compiled exe and I have had three different users (out of hundreds) report back that the program locks up their machines when the first form is partially showing on the screen. The one thing that all three of these uses have in common is that they are using a Foreign Language version of Windows 95.

>I don't know what the VFP 6 installation Wizard exactly does, but when you try to install foreign software (yours in this case) on a machine that supports another foreign language, sometimes during install the install would halt and ask you "You're about to overwrite version 9.9.999 that supports French by a US version with the same functionnality. Do you want to keep your old file or overwrite it." So it might well be possible your users are out of synch for one or several DLL's.
