Hi, I tried to send another msg after I tried the code you suggested, but maybe it didn't go through. Anyway, the problem that I had remains. I get an error message: Error 0x80020005, Type conflict. Word opens the file - and I find Word in the task handler window. If I minimize VFP and click on the word icon, it seems that a document is flashing in the window, but then word opens with an empty document, and the name of the document I opened does not show in the file open menu. I will look for the DLL you mentioned, but suspect that it has not arrived.
