>I have a client who is experiencing an occasional error when attempting to run a compiled Foxpro 2.6 program. The error is "Watcom WIN386 Read Error". Here are the operating conditions:
>
> * 133 Mhz Pentium Processor with 16MB of RAM
> * Windows/95
> * Netware 4.01 with Groupwise (E-Mail program)
> * PCDocs
> * Microsoft Word
> * All applications are loaded on a network server
> * All applications are accessed across the network.

>All of the above applications are automatically loaded in "Startup". After turning on the PC and waiting for it to load all programs, the user attempts to run the Foxpro application. It always works fine at this point. However, it the user loads an additional application first (like File Manager, for example) and then tries to run the Foxpro Application, they always get the error. It's as if the system runs out of resources and just can't support the Foxpro application. My opinion is that it is not a resource problem. Any ideas?
why not put the fox app in the startup as well? it should be loaded before word...
