Well, I just checked my theory on grid mouse behavior, and I'm wrong.
No matter what you set the column control mouseicon to be, it is the column that controls mouse appearance while the mouse is over the column, and the header that controls the appearance while the mouse is over the header, and you have no means of setting the column or header mouse pointer.
