>>>I'm with you, Donny (sorry Nancy) ... I'm not crazy about dry climates either. I used to live in Atlanta (for 15 years) and now I'm in Northern California where it only rains a few months in the winter. The rest of the year, there is not a drop of rain! Call me crazy, but man, do I miss those afternoon summer thunderstorms!!!! I actually *like* humidity!!!

>>Bonnie, I would be glad to exchange some humidity from Nova Scotia to your dry summer... :)

>Me, too. It gets to be 95F here with 98% humidity in the summer. I'll trade you *any* time 8^)

Well, 95 is a tad hot, but the humidity just doesn't bother me. Now, there are some really, really, really hot spots here in CA (Central Valley and desert areas) where 100+ is common. Don't tell me that you'd like that? People will say, "yeah, but it's a dry heat" ... I don't care. Once it gets above 90, it's too damn hot, dry or not. Atlanta has it's hot spells, but that is not the norm for most of the summer (humid, yes; hot no). Typically Napa doesn't get too hot for long periods of time (and when it does, I head for the coast).
