>Unless the setup wizard in VFP 6 let you include it (I don't have access to VFP 6 right now), you can't. You can list this as a requirement and point the user to Microsoft site (
http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom.asp) where they can download it for free.

The DCOM95.EXE available for download from Microsoft's Web site is redistributable, but I stronmgly recommend against attempting to include the DCOM install as a part of a Setup Wizard install directly; DCOM95 only applies to Win95 systems, and will reboot the system as a part of its normal sequence of events if it needs to install new components. I've posted code to test for whether there's a need for DCOM components here on UT in the FAQ; if it's Win95, you can use the DCOM95 to install the needed files; under Win98, you need to do at least a partial reinstall of the IE browser 9the components are normally included as a part of the base operating system) and under NT, you need to install SP3 or later. Instlaling IE4 or later will also install the necessary components under any of the operating systems.
