Nope... it is my understanding that Novell runs it's own OS... VFP only runs in the Windows operating system, so your VFP 'SERVER' won't run on a Novell server. Unless they cahnged things and it now runs on top of NT. <g>

In COM there is a CLIENT and a SERVER, regardless of where they physically run.

Basically the CLIENT uses the services of the SERVER.. The client is the one with the CREATEOBJ in it, the SERVER is the one that CREATEOBJ creates.

The COM SERVER could be on your Workstation machine, or on an NT server machine, or another WorkStation... as long as you have rights on that machine to run that COM object it will work.
