You might want to try using WinFax with either DDE or OLE Automation - list on WinFax Pro 9.0 is under $100, and I've seen it in a local office supply store (Staples) with a $50 rebate, so it should be reasonably indexpensive, and it works quite well. I believe there are examples here on UT that show how to use DDE with WinFax Pro.
