Hi Josh,
In my very early days in VFP I wasn't aware of offline views and created a routine mixing xBase approach with DBC's. Now I use offline views too. Yet there are few problems I couldn't find a workaround :
-Memo fields in newly added records (how to update them if blank)
-General fields (embedded)
-Date(time) fields (how to update them if blank)
Do you have any idea ? TIA
Cetin

I would start by making sure that you can update the views on line. Make sure each table you're using has a primary key and that you've set that key in the view definition.

We have a system using just foxpro tables and want to make a verison for laptops and regions just with specific data. we a different database we use in the offline case with local views substituting for the tables. we take those local views offline. we have trouble with changes being save we go online. new record adds seem to work.
