Is this program in developement or production? If in development, 2.6 has problems releasing memory that trace and debug were using if you spend a lot of time running and debugging, etc. If in production, cleanup is the answer, but not necessarily in the release of your tables. It would most likely be the release of arrays, cursors and other cases were results maybe stored in memory. I deal with multiple tables approaching 2 gig in 2.6 DOS & windows and am able to keep the tables open for the entire program run. Good Luck
