Do you mean you need generic code to open a word processing file, no matter if the user has Word or Wordperfect? Sounds like you need the windows Shellexecute function. If you are using VFP 6, check out the shellexecute class in ffc. Otherwise, do search here for some sample code on using Shellexecute.
