I am building an application using VFP 3.0 running on Windows for Work Groups 3.11. I can build a .APP file with no errors. However, when I try to build a .EXE, I see the forms compiled and a .APP built but then I get a message "File in use by another user" and no .EXE is built.

All of the project files are on my c drive, and have been accessed only from my machine (although some have been accessed under different user id's).

I have tried using building the .EXE under various names but that does not work. I don't know what file VFP thinks is in use but I do know that I am the only one accessing any of files at the current time. Also, I don't understand why it can build the .APP file but not the .EXE.

Can anyone help me?
