I just got a new computer. AMD K6-III 400 Mhz, ATI 3D Rage II video card, SoundBlaster Live, etc. I have installed NT 4 Workstation with all service packs and updates, including IE 5. I also have Norton AntiVirus 4.0 installed.

When I try to install VS 6.0 it gets to the point where it is 'searching for installed components...'. At this point, Setup quits responding. I have tried re-starting in VGA mode and it does the same thing.

Also, when I insert disk 1, it does not AutoPlay. I have to start setup by running ACMSETUP.EXE on the CD.

What do I need to do to get this installed?
