Hello,

Using VFP 5.0a with NT/95 machines. I have a screen (called the navigator) that consists of a screen covered completely with a bitmap and then has ‘invisible’ buttons over the top of some of the areas. This allows me to present a ‘pretty’ front end to my program (actually it is a flowchart of the process). On some PC’s with normally higher resolution (say 1024x768) the screen will appear as a completely gray screen where the only part of the bitmap visible is where the current control has focus. To get it to show, the user could close the screen, re-open the navigator or select an option and then exit that option. Also it seems that this now may happen as described below by a user:

"On two of the PCs I watched installation today, when the Navigator
should come up, it is a solid gray box (none of detail inside). Only the Window control boxes in the upper right display. Usually, if you click within the window, the detail shows up. In one case, I had to close the window and reopen with the "Display Navigator" function. I also began to see this in some cases today on the instructor PC (not before today). It seemed that this would occur (for me the last two days) whenever I closed out a window, such as the audit detail screen, which should display the Navigator again. In some cases, but not all, there would only be a solid gray box where the Navigator should be. If I clicked somewhere within the box, the Navigator would display. If I happened to click where a button should be, it would execute that function. (Function mapping is active but display did not update after closing a window on top of it.)This action is consistent with what I saw on other PCs."

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kevin
