Changed the video display and that did not help. You were right about the explorer message when changing the extension, it was in the lower right corner. Restarted the machine and it is good to go. I had not previously done anything with my display. Wonder what that was all about?

>Word is probably a bad test, because many of its messages are forms internally. Change a file's extension in Explorer, and note where the messagebox ("are you sure you want to change the extension?") comes up.
