My VFP5 version of the app has been running quite well for about 6 months with up to 5 users banging away at a 1 gig dataset. I was skeptical at first, but it's turned out to be a great solution. While there are other ways to running remote queries, the Citrix solution allows an easy way for remote users to edit data and run grid controls against the 1 gig database. Once in a while, the Citrix box will slow down or have unexplained crashes, but simply re-booting the machine fixes it. Plan on at least a daily re-boot.

Most of the users are coming into the Citrix Server via a WAN connection using TCP/IP which is at 256KB for some and T1 for others. Unless the line is swamped, the users barely notice that they are remote. I also have spent some time on the screen forms to avoid THISFORM.REFRESH and instead will refresh each control when necessary. A few users come in on a 33.6 modem to a RAS Server and then get to the Citrix Server using TCP/IP. These users can run the app, but performance is a bit slow.

Except for the odd looking radio buttons, I think that the VFP6 version of the app runs the same on the Citrix Server as it does on Windows 95, 98 AND NT4.

Since Citrix is a bit expensive, you might also consider using PCAnyWhere or Carbon Copy which also both work well with VFP. Of course, these products won't allow for multiple users connecting at the same time to the host which CITRIX does.
