We are getting the following error when using the treeview control version 6.0 contained in mscomctl.ocx:
OLE exception error: Exception code C0000005. Ole object may be corrupt.

This error only occurs on some computers. On others the programs using the treeview work absolutely fine.

I suspect there is some supporting file which is to blame here but we have tried a large number of permutations of updating and registering files to try to fix it. Has anyone any suggestions please?

We are using VFP 6.0 and we have VS service pack 2. We are not currently interested in NT, but get the problem on both Win95 and Win98 machines.

We have also downloaded and installed the latest DCOM95 and DCOM98 programs with no effect.

I have created a simple exe to try isolate the problem. A form with the treeview on instantiates and comes up successfully provided I have no code in it, but running any code which effects the treeview causes the problem.
e.g. a line such as:
Thisform.oleTreeview.Nodes.Clear()
causes the crash immediately.

We are just about stumped by this - any help would be very welcome.
