thanks for the input, i will try the suggestions i have recieved so far, they are all helpful. i understand there is a lot of overhead. when my endusers go from their dos foxpro and clipper apps to the new vfp6.0 environment they will be concerned with speed. i suppose it is inevitable that i will hear those complaints. so where is the tradeoff?
