>Someone over here has heard that Foxpro doesn't do well on a WAN (I believe that it's super-slow is the main problem). What they heard is that it has something to do with the way that it sends out records. Can anyone shed any light on this so that maybe I could do further research and/or find her a definitive answer? Thanks!
The only way to truly know this is to do a test. Install the app on the WAN and test during a normal load period. I run a vfp app across a T1 link to another building. A T1 line is 1.544mbps (just more that 1/10 as fast as a normal 10mbps LAN spped) but fortunately there is little other traffic on the link so it is barely slower (users don't notice).
