Append Blank automatically puts the record pointer at the new record. You should be able to simply call the form refresh() method to update the data iin your textboxes and then you'll be ready to edit.

>i am having a problem i am new at foxpro so bear with me. on my form i have a button to add a new record to the database my problem is this i have it so that it runs an append blank what happens is it puts it at the end of the data wich is fine but when i try a go bottom so that the form will be on that record it doesnt really work it just puts me at the second to last record not even any ideas?
