I'm posting this, because I KNOW someone already is
using what I need. I'm only trying to locate it, not
invent it. :^) I need a file comparison utility with
the following attributes:

COMPARISON utility:
1- Compares program files
a- Shows differences in existing code and older
versions
b- Indicates line numbers and modules
c- Can optionally output the differences to a
file or printer (or both)
d- Can be auto-synched when new code has added
lines, instead of showing differences from
those new lines to the end
e- Can be auto-synched when older code has lines
which were removed from its new counterpart,
instead of showing differences from those
pre-existing lines to the end

2- Compares code contained in Classes and their
sub-classes
a- Shows differences between the original abstract
class and its descendants
b- Differences can include other objects ( in a container )
as well as code differences
c- Can optionally list the differences to a file or printer

3- Compares data files
a- Especially for prepared testing data files,
where different scenarios are examined for faults
b- Shows differences between each data set in a DBF
c- Shows differences in a raw ASCII-delimited file
d- Shows differences in a raw SDF file

4- Compares Memo fields
a- Not as critical, but nice to have.

Whether you are using a commercial product, shareware or public
domain, please let me know what it is and how to get it. If you
have rolled your own utility, then let's talk. You already know
how much time this saves.
