Must be. What we are now enjoying is the fruits of over ramp-up. First, there was a chip embargo with Japan in the mid-80's, driving RAM sky high. Then, after that, a fire wiped out one of the largest chip factories in Japan. Prior to that, there was a trend to stop making RAM and other chips here in USA. So, a bunch of companies jumped into what they perceived was a lucrative market and now we have overcapacity and cheapness.
