But VSS is available separately, right?

Meanwhile, I've located a couple of shareware utilities to do this and that should get us by for now.

I've been following your Extreme Programming thread, too.
It sounds like you are another person I should be listening to.
In an attempt to upgrade my skills, I'm reading Code Complete and whatever I can find by Steven Black and several others.

Besides VSS, are there other tools you might recommend to aid me in the development, testing and debugging areas? I do use CEE, already. Big help.
