Did you try to run the debugger on this ? Maybe a trigger or validationrule might be the "boosdoender". You can also try to make a coveragelog of the program, so you can track the program-flow.

B.T.W. are these table involved in a SET RELATION ?

Check within the debugger or add a suspend before the second insert and check if the buffering settings are still correct.
