>Sometimes it is VERY difficult to get a simple message into a "system". What started out as a simple complaint is growing as I try to get my rpoblem recorded to you!

>1) I logged on earlier and noted 61 New Messages. I went to respond to the third, got to hit the Save button, and the system seemed to stutter. A coupla minutes later a red MSIE error box appeared stating something couldn't be done, so I clicked OK on it, went to the File menu and clicked Exit. This brought be back to the UT Entry screen, so I clicked on UT and when I got back there was 1 New Message noted!!!
>

i had to log in 3 different times today, twice because IE hung on me. each time i checked the 'show prev messages' box and was given all messages since my last login yesterday.

>2) I tried to view the "lost" messages by clicking on the Calendar button, and it presented a list of the messages for today. However, because I am NOT a Premiere Member, I was unable to view any of these messages.

the premier membership is worth the money for this capability and the search routine. actually, it's worth more to me than $35, but if you don't tell michel, i won't.

>3) I then tried to send another message, this time to Sysop asking How to recover "lost messages". I was a firly long message, asking a few questions about Premier Membership.
>When I clicked Save I got a validation error about "double-quotes or xxx not being permitted in field" AND NO WAY TO RECOVER MY TYPING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM!!!

click on the back button on your browser. this would have taken you to where you were entering the message.

>The cost of Premiere Membership is not high. BUT I have been withholding registering for two primary reasons:
>1) First and foremost, this facility is obviously used by some to LEARN VFP WITHOUT ever referencing documentation. I, personally, have little time for such usage, and I do not at all appreciate the clutter which is generated by all of the useless traffic it causes. There is little or NO Policing of this kind of traffic, so I don't know that I will find this to be very useful IN THE LONGER RUN.

i agree. that's why i either
a) ignore certain messages
b) respond by saying 'look in the help'

>2) The benefits of Premiere Membership are NOT clearly spelled-out anywhere that I have found. I tend to find out only by trying to do something and being THEN informed that it is availaible only to Premiere Members.

see #2 above. there are many features available for PMUT users, and the benefits far outweigh the problems.

>Thank you for your time
