>I am trying to insert a VFP table in a word document. I think I've created the appropriate Data Source in the ODBC32 setup program but the only file types that Word lists in the Open Data Source dialog are .Doc, .RTF, .Txt, .XLS, .MDB. What am I doing wrong?

Word does not seem to use ODBC. You need to make sure you intall the data access options during Office setup. With VFP 3.0 and Word 6 on Windows 3.11, we had to copy the data to a Fox 2.x version for Word. With Word 97, you can't access Fox tables with the Standard version. You need the Professional version to do it. This gave us a big problem when the company upgraded to NT and installed the Standard version of Office. The users of our mail merge application had to upgrade to Office Professional to get things working again.

An alternative is to use MS Query to get the data into Word. MS Query will use ODBC.
