I have not used any reporting tool outside of the native VFP report writer yet, so I am completely unfamiliar with using CR at this point. I've read several threads here regarding accessing VFP databases and free tables, but before I dive in here, I wanted to ask those using CR a couple of basic queastions regarding data access and distribution since there is a lack of info on CR and VFP from CR help.

Currently I use cursors to run my reports in VFP. Is this possible in CR? Can I build my report based on a cursor (i.e by knowing the fields of info that will be returned from the sql into my cursor, can I build my report based on them, or do I need to use a table?

Are there any samples or information on how to distribute CR in VFP apps? (i.e files to distribute in setup, ODBC registration etc.)

What is the preferred method of distributing CR in an application?

Most of my reports are fairly basic, and the only reason I choose CR was for the ability to use RTF for form letters, which is a real PITB using the native VFP report writer and Rich text control.

Sorry for rambling on, and any suggestions appreciated!
