Try this:-

Change default directory to a network path (eg. f:\public), in command box type ?sys(5).

Change default to UNC path (eg. \\sys\vol\public), again type ?sys(5).

Even if both above paths are physically the same, the result will be different! Basically, Yes - VFP does support UNC.
