OK, I confirmed that SET STEP ON makes AMEMBERS() behave as specified, but it now raises an interesting questions - can we reliably use AMEMBERS() outside the debug environment for ActiveX objects? I don't use it in conjunction with an ActiveX object - I use either the OLE/COM Object viewer or VB's Object browser in development here. Is there a way of forcing AMEMBERS() to populate without the debugger active?

I just tried another quick experiment - I brought up the debug window, opened you code and let it rip under VFP 5.0a and VFP 6 - still the old result. Only when I step through it with the debugger do I get the results you do.

I think I'm going to get a beer...
